Job Summary

Directs and coordinates activities of production department in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.Essential Functions

• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to HR department for action.
• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
• Directly supervises line leads in Production.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Understand, integrate and develop manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Manage Technicians to ensure machine performance and efficiencies.
• Understands resources within departments to properly allocate work orders, ensuring completion within the time frame defined by production planning.
• Ensure products are tested and validated per procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by GM,  or COO of Operations.
• Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
• Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.

  Education/ Experience

  Bachelor's degree BSc. Metallurgy & Materials Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering from four-year College or university; or Five to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
