Full Job Description
We are currently on the lookout for a talented and ambitious copywriter and content marketer to join our small digital agency.
The right candidate will have the ability to create great content for a varied number of clients from across sectors such as not-for-profit and financials. Demonstrable experience in either of these sectors is a big plus.
You will be brimming with ideas for generating great, original SEO orientated content and creative messaging that can engage and build audiences for new and long-established clients across a variety of channels including email, web (new site content, landing pages, infographics, blogs and articles), social media and digital ad campaigns.
You will have a proven track record as a copywriter, with a deep understanding of the way that content helps our clients to deliver clear messages in all mediums that resonates with their audiences and customers. This means having the ability to also seek out new trends and effectively incorporate them into campaigns to sustain an increasing and engaging audience.
Although your role will vary from day to day your main responsibilities will include:
- Take ownership of content briefs and undertake all projects to a very high standard.
- Develop creative content strategies that are forward-thinking and SEO friendly.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives and devise strategies to achieve them across both the magazine and digital media.
- Bring forward creative ideas and concepts for projects
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Experienced in professional, commercial content creation
- A strong record in creating immaculate copy that captures reader’s attention
- The ability to plan and develop content strategies
- A persuasive and confident approach to creativity
- Excellent communication skills
- A keen attention to detail and ability to stick to timescales
- Familiarity with creative processes and techniques – including digital media
Desirable but not essential skills
- Knowledge of digital platforms, such as Mailchimp and Google ads
- Previous experience of working with UK based charities and Muslim organisations
20 days of holiday per year excluding Bank Holidays
