We are seeking a Technical Documentation Writer to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will have experience creating and maintaining technical software documentation, as well as a passion for delivering clear, concise, and accurate information to our stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

The role offered by the company entails;

• Create and maintain business requirements, technical & functional documentation, including design and architecture documents, API documentation installation guides, developer guides and release notes.


• Have an excellent experience of preparing product presentations.


• Have an excellent experience in Use Case, Sequence and Data Flow diagrams.


• Use visual models and tools to communicate workflows, communications, relations, and system operations.


• Work closely with the software development team to ensure that documentation accurately reflects the software functionality and design.


• Conduct research and testing to verify the accuracy and completeness of the documentation.


• Edit and proofread documentation to ensure that it is clear, concise, and free of errors.


• Collaborate with other departments, including quality assurance, customer support, and sales, to ensure that the documentation meets their needs and supports the overall company goals.


• Continuously review and update documentation to reflect changes to the software and to maintain its relevance and usefulness.


• Develop and maintain documentation templates, styles, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all documentation.


• Contribute to the development and improvement of software development processes, with a focus on documentation best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, or a related field.


• 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining technical software documentation.


• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely.


• Excellent attention to detail and ability to proofread documentation thoroughly.


• Experience using software documentation tools and technologies, such as Confluence, JIRA, Redmine, Wiki and MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio).


• Knowledge of software development processes and technologies, including API development, software testing, and version control.


• Demonstrable ability to grasp technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures


• Have an excellent experience using content publishing tools to write, format, manage, and publish technical content on the web Demonstrable experience in technical communication or instructional design.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
